The shortest advertised time isn't enough to choose a casino. You need to know when approval starts, how the money is sent and when you can use it in your own account. We'd choose clear withdrawal terms over a vague promise of fast payment.
How long does a withdrawal really take?
Count from the moment you request your money to the moment you can use it. A casino may quote only the time it takes to send an approved payment. That leaves out time spent waiting for document checks or approval, so the headline can sound much quicker than your actual wait.
Your request can appear in the cashier while it's still waiting for attention. The casino may need to check your identity, the balance or who owns the payment account. After approval, it must send the payment instruction, which your bank or wallet then needs to process.
Ask support what starts and ends the quoted period. Does ‘processed’ mean approved, sent or already available to spend? Write down the answer beside the method name so you don't compare a transfer time at one casino with the whole withdrawal process at another.
What do Springbok, Apollo and White Lotus say?
Springbok lists separate withdrawal windows for bank and cryptocurrency methods. Its withdrawal-authorisation page says your document checks must be approved before processing starts, and describes processing on weekdays. Read those conditions together when you look at the Springbok review and choose a method.
Apollo separates its processing time from bank settlement and has instalment limits for certain balances. Its cashout page directs you to a bank account, while a separate page describes EcoPayz withdrawals. Ask which route your account can use before making plans around either description.
White Lotus names bank wire and several wallets. To withdraw to a wallet, you must previously have used that wallet to deposit. We'd compare these account conditions before chasing the shortest advertised time: a quick method doesn't help if you can't receive money through it.
What should you compare before depositing?
Make a short checklist for each casino you're considering. Include your receiving method, currency, document requirements, approval time, transfer time and payout limits. If you can't find an essential answer, ask support before you send money and save its reply with the relevant terms.
Look closely at the units used. Working days don't mean the same thing as hours, especially around weekends and public holidays. A weekly payout limit also matters if your balance is large enough to be split into instalments: the first payment won't tell you when the last one arrives.
Treat another player's experience as a question to investigate, not your own timetable. Their amount, receiving account and document checks may differ from yours. Ask for the conditions that apply to your request, and keep a dated note so you can follow up against the answer you received.
Which documents will you need?
Get the casino's document checklist before you rely on its payout schedule. Springbok specifically excludes South African driving licences, even though its broader wording mentions driving licences. Follow the local requirements rather than assuming a document accepted by your bank will work everywhere else.
Uploading a file doesn't mean it's been approved. Check whether the casino has accepted it and whether anything else is outstanding. Keep the upload reference and the reply so you can point to the completed step if support asks you to start again.
Send sensitive documents only through the casino's official account process. Follow its instructions on hiding payment details, and don't send files to someone who approaches you through an unrelated social account. Another deposit won't complete a document check; get a clear answer about the missing requirement instead.
Will a Friday request wait until Monday?
It depends on which stage your request has reached and the applicable working days. Suppose you request a withdrawal late on Friday but your documents still need approval. A processing period that starts after approval may not have begun at all, even though the request is visible in your account.
Your bank can have its own timetable after the casino sends the money. FNB's May 2026 payment cut-offs distinguish same-bank, other-bank and real-time payments, and mention delays for fraud prevention. Those rules cover the FNB/RMB services described there; don't apply them to every casino payment.
Ask whether the accounts team releases payments over weekends and holidays. A support agent being available doesn't mean the payment team is working too. If you need money for a bill on a particular day, don't rely on a casino withdrawal arriving in time to cover it.
Can you receive money through that method?
Check the outgoing route before you deposit. A card that works for deposits may not receive withdrawals, and a wallet may need to have been used for a deposit first. For bank transfers, check the account-name requirements and make sure the details belong to your own intended receiving account.
If you want the money in your bank, include any transfer out of a wallet in your comparison. That extra step can add a fee, a currency conversion or more waiting. For crypto, check the exact coin and network in the withdrawal screen before using an address; the casino's release and network confirmation are separate steps.
Is your whole balance available to withdraw?
Open the balance breakdown before choosing an amount. Your total may include deposits, bonus credit, winnings and money still tied to conditions. If the withdrawal button is unavailable, ask which part of the balance is blocked and which term applies before you assume the bank is causing the problem.
Apollo and White Lotus have different schedules or restrictions for ordinary winnings, jackpots and bonus-related winnings. A bonus cashout cap limits the amount that can qualify; a weekly payment limit can spread a payable balance over time. Read both and ask for the calculation if the amount available doesn't match what you expected.
How much will actually reach your account?
Compare fees alongside speed. The casino, wallet and receiving bank can each have separate charges, and currency conversion can affect what arrives. A casino saying it charges no withdrawal fee doesn't settle what your bank or wallet will charge for receiving or moving the money.
Check the sending currency, who handles conversion and the rate shown before you confirm. Save the fee screen with your request so you can compare it with the amount received. We'd favour a route you can use and understand over a faster-looking option that leaves money in a wallet you struggle to access.
What should you ask when a payout is late?
Start with a short timeline: request sent, documents requested, documents approved, withdrawal approved, payment sent and money received. Add the date and reference for each completed step. If support only says ‘processed’, ask whether the money has left and request the payment reference if it has.
Keep your message focused: give the date, amount, method and request reference, then ask what's holding up the next step. If the expected time changes, ask why and save the answer. Don't post full bank details or identity documents in a public complaint; the support team should use its official secure channel for those.
How can you make your follow-up easier?
Before you contact support, open your payment history and check the last update. If it says documents are needed, your next question is which document is missing and where to upload it. If the request is approved but not sent, ask the casino when it expects to release the payment and whether a limit is holding it back. These questions give support something specific to answer without asking you to make another payment.
If support says the money has been sent, ask for the sending date, destination and transfer reference. Check that the destination matches the account you requested, then use that reference when speaking to the receiving bank or wallet. Keep the request number as well: the casino may use a different reference internally, so having both saves you from confusing the withdrawal request with the later bank transfer.
When you receive a partial payment, compare it with the agreed instalment schedule before opening a missing-payment query. Write down what arrived and what is still due. Ask whether the next instalment needs a new request or will follow the existing one; don't guess and create overlapping requests. If the answer changes, keep the earlier message alongside the new explanation so you can ask about the difference directly.
You can keep this record in a simple note on your phone. Give each request its own heading and add the latest reply underneath it, rather than mixing several payments into one long chat. Leave out passwords and full bank details. The aim is to make your next follow-up easier, with a clear question about the step that still needs to happen.
Should you cancel a pending withdrawal?
If you want to take your money out, we'd leave the request in place while you check its status. Reversing it can put the money back into your playing balance, where you can lose it. A new bonus or another deposit isn't a shortcut to getting an existing payment released.
Agree on a follow-up point instead of repeatedly opening the cashier and browsing offers. If waiting makes you want to gamble again, ask about account restrictions and visit our responsible-gambling page. Keep money for everyday expenses out of play, and don't borrow or chase losses while a withdrawal is pending.
Who can help with your complaint?
Contact the organisation handling the stuck step. The casino needs to explain approval or a disputed bonus balance; the bank needs a transfer reference to investigate money that's been sent. A game's software supplier may have no control over your casino account, so start with the operator's complaints process.
The National Gambling Board explains provincial licensing authorities and their complaints route. Check whether the exact operator and product fall under that authority before submitting a complaint. An offshore licence, rand payments or access from South Africa doesn't give a casino local product authorisation; CasinoMenu cannot access your account or decide a balance dispute.
What if your request is rejected or split?
Ask why it was rejected before sending another request. You may need to correct beneficiary details, finish an account check or resolve a disagreement about the balance. Find out whether the original request is still open and whether submitting a replacement starts the processing period again.
Keep separate references for separate withdrawals. Match each payment received to its request rather than assuming a small credit settles the whole balance. If the casino pays in instalments, ask for the schedule, the amount still due and the next expected payment, then keep those answers together for your follow-up.
Our view: choose clear terms over a speed claim
An instant deposit doesn't promise an instant withdrawal. We'd look for a receiving method you can use, clear document requirements, understandable fees and a written payout schedule. If support can't explain those basics, you don't have to deposit while you wait for an answer.
Use our banking guide to compare payment routes, or the Skrill guide if you're considering a wallet. Plan around the full trip to your own account, including any extra transfer, rather than the shortest number in an advert. Gambling can cost you the money you put in, whatever the payout timetable says.
