South African Online Casino Directory: Find a Review and Compare

Updated 2 November 2026 by the CasinoMenu team.

Looking for a particular casino? Search for it by name below, open the review, then check the things that matter to you. No single headline bonus suits every player.

What to compare →

Search by brand name. Each card opens our review. A separate casino button shows up only where we have a link for that brand, and it doesn't mean the bonus on offer is still running, so check the casino's own page.

How do you build a shortlist?

Start with what you actually need. Maybe you want to cash out by EFT, or you want to understand a welcome bonus properly, or you're after one particular game. Write that down before you look at any bonus amounts, because a big headline number can easily make you forget the question you started with.

Then pick two or three reviews, not every brand on the list. Read the verdict first, then jump to the sections that matter to you. If a review says something isn't published, take that on board. Don't assume the missing detail is a good one just because another casino spells it out.

The directory is alphabetical because we don't sort by bonus size, payout speed or minimum deposit. Those numbers change all the time and aren't comparable across every casino. A search result only means the name matches what you typed. It isn't a quality score. And if a brand has no casino button, that doesn't tell you the casino has closed, so read the review for its current status.

Don't let looks decide either. A rand balance, a familiar payment logo or a South African flag doesn't tell you who runs the casino, what it's allowed to offer or who to complain to. Find those answers in the casino's current terms and, where there's one, the official register.

What should your comparison sheet include?

Here's a simple sheet to use when you read two reviews side by side. For each row, write down the answer in plain words, where you found it, and anything you still need to ask. A short note you can come back to beats a pile of screenshots with no dates on them.

AreaWhat to write downWhen to hit pause
AccountThe exact web address, the company behind it, who can join and the account currency. You can't tell who runs the site or what rules your account falls under.
PromotionWhich deposit stage it covers, the qualifying deposit, wagering, expiry and any withdrawal limit. The headline and the small print say different things.
BankingHow you'll pay in and how you'll take money out, with limits and fees for each. You can deposit easily, but there's no clear way to withdraw.
ID checksWhich documents the casino asks for and where you upload them. You're asked to send sensitive documents through an unofficial channel.
ControlWhere to set limits, take a time-out, see your history or self-exclude.You can't find a way to stop or restrict your own account.
SupportHow to reach the casino, the hours it gives and how it handles complaints.A serious question goes unanswered before you've sent any money.

If you don't know something, write "ask" next to it, and don't fill in a hopeful answer. A missing fee isn't a free service, a missing processing time isn't instant payouts and a missing expiry date isn't a bonus that lasts forever. If one of your must-haves is still a blank, put that casino aside until you get a clear answer.

How do you judge a bonus offer?

First, work out whether it's a one-off deposit offer or a package spread over several deposits. For a package, write down what you get at each stage and how much extra money it takes to reach it. The big total on the banner can be much more than what you get after your first deposit, and you don't have to carry on to later stages just because you took the first one.

Next, check the minimum deposit on its own. The biggest bonus often needs a bigger deposit than you planned. If you're comparing two matches, compare them at the same deposit, inside your budget. Don't top up to hit a casino's cap, because that changes the question you were trying to answer.

Then look at the wagering requirement and what it's multiplied by. "Thirty times" means little until you know the base. Here's an example for illustration only. A R200 bonus at 30 times the bonus means R6,000 of qualifying bets. If the deposit counts too, the same offer means R12,000. It's a teaching example, not a figure from a particular casino.

After that, check how much each game counts and what you're not allowed to do. A game that counts for only part of each bet slows your progress. Look for banned games, a maximum bet while the bonus is active and any rule tied to how you paid.

Finally, check the way out. What happens to the bonus and your winnings if you withdraw, cancel or run out of time? Is there a maximum cashout, and does it cover everything or just the bonus part? If the terms are unclear, ask before you accept. Our bonus section explains these terms in more depth.

How do you check the banking?

Picture the whole trip: your bank to the casino and back again. For each step, find the method, the currency, the limit and any fee. Don't stop at a payment logo. The way you pay in may have different withdrawal rules, and a method on a general banking page may not be on offer for your account.

If you're working to a rand budget, compare what you actually pay, not just what shows up as credit on the site. Check for any exchange rate or conversion charge, and ask whether your own bank adds a fee. If more than one currency is involved, write them all down. A small charge adds up when it happens on both the way in and the way out.

Keep processing and payment apart. First find out how the casino describes the time it takes to approve a withdrawal. Then check how your bank or payment provider describes getting the money to you. "Processed in a day" and "in your account in a day" are not the same claim.

Limits need the same care. A minimum withdrawal and a maximum withdrawal answer different questions, and a per-transaction limit isn't a daily or monthly limit. If you see several, note the period of each. Then ask whether any of them would affect the amount you really expect to move.

Before you deposit, find out how to get a transaction record and how to raise a query. Keep your confirmations somewhere safe. If a payment goes wrong, have the date, amount, method and casino reference ready before you contact support, and don't post them in public. Our banking guides give more background, but CasinoMenu can't look into your account balance or make a casino release your money.

Who actually runs the casino?

A good review tells you where each claim comes from. The casino's footer might name a company and a licence number. An official register might confirm some of those details separately. Those are two different sources. When you check a register, match the company, the exact web address, the licence number and what it covers, and don't rely on a name that just looks similar.

A licence line isn't a blanket answer either. Read where it was issued and which products it covers, and find out which complaint route the casino actually describes. If you can't open a source, that doesn't prove the claim is false, but it doesn't back it up either. Keep that in mind when you decide.

A neat website, a smart logo or a padlock in the browser doesn't tell you how a casino treats its players. Read the account terms, withdrawal rules, security options and contact details one by one. If the pages don't agree with each other, wait. Don't pick the most comforting version.

When you send ID, go to the casino's own address and use its upload instructions. Never give passwords or one-time codes to anyone who contacts you out of the blue. If a request looks odd, ask through an official contact you already know. CasinoMenu never needs your ID, bank details or account login, even if you're sending us a correction.

What about games and your phone?

A huge game list isn't much use if it doesn't have what you want. Look for the type of game, the provider or the version you like. Read the game's own help screen and paytable rather than assuming a familiar title has the same settings everywhere. If a review quotes a return-to-player figure, it should name the game and setup it applies to, not a casino-wide chance of winning.

A game being in the lobby doesn't mean it counts towards your bonus. Some games are banned from a promotion or count for less. Check both the game info and the offer terms, and don't assume the two match just because they're on the same site.

On your phone, test the parts around the game as well as the game itself. Can you read the terms, see your history, find the withdrawal button, set limits and reach support? Check the text size and watch for pop-ups that hide important details. That matters on a small screen, especially if you're playing on mobile data. If your phone can't show the conditions properly, fix that before you put money in.

Playing in your browser is different from using an app. If a casino has an app, download it only from the casino's own site and read what devices it says it supports. Never trust an unofficial download page, and don't assume an app with a similar name belongs to the casino. Our mobile section and game guides have more reading on all this.

How do you check support before you need it?

Find the support options now, while you're still reading, not once something goes wrong. Note the opening hours and which time zone they're in. A chat icon doesn't tell you how quickly someone replies. Whatever a casino claims about being available, and what actually happens when you write in, are two different things.

If a term is unclear, ask a specific question. Quote the clause and say which bonus or payment method you mean. A general answer about the brand may not settle a rule in one particular promotion. Save the reply together with your question, especially if it changes whether you send money.

If you need to complain, use the casino's own process and keep a clear timeline. Treat a first support query, a formal complaint and any later escalation as separate steps. Check who the escalation route is open to and what it asks for. Don't assume a regulator or your bank can solve every kind of dispute.

How do you make the final call?

Go back to what you wrote down at the start. Have you got clear answers to your important questions? Does the plan still fit your budget and your time? If the only reason left to sign up is that the bonus looks big, stop and think about what the terms would make you do.

Walking away is a perfectly good result. Don't borrow to qualify for a bonus, don't use money you need for essentials and don't treat another deposit as a way to get back what you lost. If gambling is getting hard to control, step away from comparisons and look at our responsible gambling resources. Use the casino's own limit, time-out or self-exclusion tools too, where they're on offer.

CasinoMenu's job is to give you information, not to promise a result. Casino links may earn us a commission, and they take you to a separate service with its own terms. Read the full review and the current terms before you act on any offer. No ordering, design or button label changes the risk of losing money.

Questions about this directory

How are casinos ordered?

Alphabetically, by brand name. Typing in the search box narrows the names you see and doesn't change the page address. The order is only there to help you find things. It isn't a rating, a payout prediction or a nudge to deposit.

Why can I search by name but not by payment method or bonus size?

Because those filters need up-to-date, comparable numbers for every casino on the list, and we don't have that. Open the individual review for the details you care about.

What does a casino button mean?

It means we have a link for that brand. It doesn't mean you qualify for a bonus or that the casino will accept your account. The review has its own link, so you can read the background first.

What if the terms have changed since a review was written?

Go by the casino's current terms and don't act on a number that may be out of date. You can tell us about it at hello@seomighty.com. Send the review's address and the casino page that shows the change, but leave out any private account details.

Can I compare without registering?

Yes. You can read the directory, the reviews and the guides without opening an account anywhere. If something is still unclear, ask the casino. If it won't answer, that's a reason to hold off, not to deposit.
