Is Hollywoodbets legit?
Yes - Hollywoodbets operates as a provincially licensed South African bookmaker and appears on the National Gambling Board verified operators list. That is bookmaker licensing, not a national online-casino licence. Re-check the NGB register yourself before you deposit.

Short answer
Hollywoodbets is a long-running South African bookmaker brand with provincial licensing. Listings on the NGB verified operators register support treating it as a legitimate licensed bookmaker for sports and related products. Always match the legal entity name on the site footer to the register entry.
How to verify on the NGB register
- Open the National Gambling Board Verified Operators page.
- Search for the Hollywood / Hollywoodbets trading names shown in the operator footer.
- Confirm the licence type shows bookmaker (or the matching category) and the province.
- If nothing matches, stop and contact the provincial gambling board before funding an account.
Scam and fake-app caution
Lookalike apps, APK sideloads, and “Hollywoodbets login” clone sites are a common risk. Download only from links on the official domain after you typed it yourself. Provincial boards and the NGB have warned about illegal online gambling and misleading social apps - treat unsolicited download links as hostile.
