Is Vegas Hero worth it?
Probably not, at least not yet. Vegas Hero has a long, detailed rules page, but it doesn't tell you which company runs the site, we couldn't match it to a current gambling licence, and one account-closure rule could cost you your balance.
That's a lot to accept before you've paid anything in. If you still want to look around, read the closure, withdrawal and bonus rules below first, and keep your first deposit small.
We also can't point you to a clear welcome offer. The site's default bonus rules are there, but the offer you'd actually get isn't laid out in one place, so we don't show numbers for it. Updated 2 November 2026.

Who runs Vegas Hero, and is it legal here?
We can't tell you. The rules page talks about "the Company" again and again, but it never names the company. The footer doesn't either, and the clause on governing law doesn't name a country. A brand name and a support email aren't the same as a company you can look up.
That matters because it decides who owes you your money and which authority, if any, you could complain to. Before you deposit, you'd want an answer in writing from support.
South Africa isn't on the list of restricted countries in the rules, and we were able to open the page from a South African connection. That tells you the site is reachable, not that it's allowed or that it will accept your sign-up. The site puts the job of checking local law on you.
The National Gambling Board's FAQ explains that South African law allows licensed online sports betting, but not online casino play, so a local licence doesn't cover this. A foreign licence wouldn't change that. Know it before you sign up.
We haven't opened an account here, so we can't say how the cashier looks for a South African player today.
What about the old Genesis Global name?
You may remember Vegas Hero as part of the old Genesis Global operation. The Malta Gaming Authority has published a notice that Genesis Global's authorisation was cancelled, effective January 2024. That notice is about that company only.
It doesn't tell you who runs the site today, and nothing we found proves the current Vegas Hero is the same business. So don't assume the old company's licence, owners or customer liabilities carry over just because the name looks familiar.
If you had a dispute with the old operation, it needs its own paperwork: your account details, the transaction dates and the name of the company you dealt with. Today's logo isn't a substitute for that.
The rules page we read is version 1.12, dated 19 August 2026. We were able to read it in full on 2 November 2026, including the sections that fold away on the page. A few later page loads timed out, which doesn't mean the site is closed, but it does mean we can't say how the latest design looks. This review sticks to what that rules page says.
What happens to your money if you close your account?
This is the rule that worries us most. The rules say you can close your account only if there's no balance and no pending withdrawal. They then say your funds will be voided if you close with a positive balance or a pending withdrawal.
In plain words: don't treat "close my account" as a quick way to cash out. If you want to leave, withdraw first and make sure nothing is pending. If that isn't possible, ask support in writing what happens to your balance, and whether a normal closure and an exclusion request are handled differently.
We haven't tested how this works in practice, so we can't tell you whether it would hold up. Just don't ignore it.
What about self-exclusion?
Self-exclusion is described as a request you make through customer service. The rules ask you to tell the casino about your other accounts and not to open new ones. They don't spell out how remaining funds are handled.
If gambling is hurting you, ask to be excluded clearly and in writing, and get independent help as well. Please don't keep playing just to empty a balance or to meet a closure rule. That only adds to your losses. SARGF offers free, confidential help on 0800 006 008, 24/7.
Can you have more than one account?
No, and the rule goes further than "one per person". It covers your household, address, contact details and internet connection. If you break it, the casino can cancel promotions and winnings, close your account and even reverse withdrawals it has already paid.
That could catch people who share a flat or a router, even if you're separate customers. We haven't tested how the casino treats genuine shared homes. If that's you, ask support before you sign up, and keep the answer.
Don't open a second account because you forgot your password. Use the site's account recovery and support instead.
Can you let someone else use your account?
No. The rules ban passing your account, or the rights and money in it, to another person. They also say you're responsible for anything done with your correct login details.
So keep your password to yourself, and if you think someone else has got in, contact support straight away. Never send anyone a password or a one-time code, including us. CasinoMenu can't see or fix your casino account.
We haven't checked what extra login security the site offers, so don't assume there's two-step protection.
How does the ID check work?
Expect to be asked for documents. The rules allow requests for ID, proof of address, proof that a payment method is yours, transaction history and proof of where your money came from. They also allow extra checks by phone or face scan, and checks through outside providers.
You get 30 days to send what's asked. The casino says a normal review takes up to 10 days after you've sent everything, and longer for complex cases. Those are the casino's own timeframes, not something we measured. A half-complete submission may not start the clock, so ask support exactly what's still missing.
The checks can happen before and after deposits and withdrawals, and payments can be held until they're done. So passing the check once doesn't mean you'll never be asked again.
Because we couldn't find out who the operator is, be careful about who receives your documents and under which privacy rules. Only send them through the official route inside your account, and be wary of any message that uses the Vegas Hero name but arrives out of the blue.
Keep a note of the dates you were asked and the dates you replied. If you ever complain about a delay, those dates matter.
Which payment methods can you use?
The rules say deposits and withdrawals use whatever methods the site offers at the time, and that you'll get paid back by the same method where possible. The casino can also choose a different withdrawal route from the one you'd prefer.
The rules mention cards and bank transfers, but they don't name any South African bank, wallet or card product. The withdrawal table lists several currencies and amounts in euro. It doesn't give a clear rand schedule, and we haven't turned the euro amounts into a rand promise. Your cashier will show the real route, conversion and any provider fee, so look there before you pay.
The casino can set its own deposit minimums and maximums, and the rules don't list them method by method. So check the cashier for your method.
Is your balance safe?
The rules say your casino balance isn't a bank account and earns no interest. They also say customer money is held separately to protect it if the company goes bust.
That's the casino's own claim. We haven't seen audited accounts or bank arrangements, and we don't know who the company is. So don't think of your balance as guaranteed or insured, and don't leave more in your account than you plan to play with.
If you ever have a payment query, quote the method and the payment reference. A general question about "the payment system" gets a general answer.
| Method | What to know |
|---|---|
| Cards | Mentioned in the refund and fee rules; check which cards your bank allows |
| Bank transfer | Mentioned in the rules; check the cashier for a South African route |
| Other methods | The cashier decides what's on offer for your account |
| Currency | Euro and other currencies in the limits table; check the cashier for rand |
What do you need to do before a withdrawal?
Two rules catch people out. First, you must wager at least €20 in the calendar month you ask to withdraw. Second, you must turn over what you deposited. Both are separate from any bonus wagering.
If you haven't met the deposit turnover rule, the rules describe charges and the cancelling of winnings, and they treat money paid in by card or bank transfer differently. Don't gamble just to unlock a balance. Ask about these rules before you deposit, or when you ask how to get an unused balance back.
What are the charges?
The turnover clause mentions a 10% commission with a €0.50 minimum, and a 15% commission for card or bank-transfer deposits in the situations it describes. Those are the numbers in the rules, not a fee on every withdrawal.
A separate refund section has its own conditions and timing, so don't mix the two into one charge. If you're in a dispute, ask support which clause they're using, what amount the charge is worked out on, and what happens to your own deposit compared with your winnings. We haven't tested the calculation on a live account.
How much can you withdraw, and how fast?
The lowest level on the published schedule allows €500 a day and €7000 a month, with more at higher levels. Your level depends on recent activity and can drop if you stop betting for a while. Don't spend more just to move up a level.
You can have up to 3 pending withdrawal requests, and the casino keeps the right to set individual schedules. So a daily limit doesn't mean you'll get that whole amount every day. We haven't seen which level or schedule applies to a South African account.
How long does it take?
The rules say the casino processes a withdrawal within 3 business days after your request, or after your previous withdrawal was paid, as long as your checks are complete. They give weekday working hours in GMT, and they separate the casino's own processing from any delay at the payment provider.
That's what the rules promise, not a payout speed we've seen. With several requests pending, they may be dealt with one after another, not all at once. Ask whether a request is waiting on an ID check, waiting its turn, or already sent to the provider.
We don't call Vegas Hero a fast payer, and the casino's own processing window doesn't tell you when the money lands in your bank.
Can you get a deposit back?
Usually not. The rules say deposits aren't refunded in general, and not at all once you've used the deposit or its bonus for betting. They allow exceptions for things like technical problems. You'd have to ask within 24 hours of the payment, and the casino aims to reply within 10 business days. ID and payment-ownership checks can still apply.
So if you pay in by mistake, ask straight away. It helps to know which of three situations you're in: a mistaken payment, an unused balance, or a loss from play that's already happened. The casino treats them differently.
What if you stop playing for a while?
An account counts as inactive after 180 days without logging in. While it stays inactive, the casino can charge €5 a month. If your balance is smaller than that, the casino can take all of it, and the fees stop once the balance reaches zero.
That's a different rule from the one that can lower your VIP level, which is about betting. Logging in, betting and withdrawing are three separate things in the rules. Don't gamble to dodge an inactivity fee. If you're taking a long break, ask about getting your balance back, your account status and exclusion instead.
What's the welcome bonus really worth?
We can't give you a number, and we won't guess one. The full rules include default terms for deposit bonuses, no-deposit credit and free spins, but they don't set out one welcome package with the amount, qualifying deposit, code, games, spin value, expiry and payment exclusions all together.
The rules also say a specific offer can override the defaults. So the general wagering clause tells you very little about the deal you'd actually be offered. Get the full terms of any specific offer before you compare it with another casino.
Is bonus money different from your own cash?
Yes. The rules say your own money is used before the bonus balance, and that an early withdrawal can void the bonus and any winnings from it. They also treat casino and sports promotions differently, with different completion periods and uses.
A sports free bet isn't casino cash, and a bonus balance isn't automatically withdrawable. Before you accept anything, ask what happens to your own deposit if you decline, cancel, let the offer expire or request a withdrawal midway.
Which games count towards a bonus?
The bonus rules split games into two groups: games that count for nothing towards wagering, and games you can't play at all while a bonus is active. The second group matters more than a vague category name, because breaking it can cost you the bonus.
There are also general game categories alongside named special-game lists. Some generic names, such as Keno and Mines, show up in different places, so the exact title and provider matter. If you're not sure, ask which rule applies to the specific game before you stake anything.
A game button that opens doesn't mean it counts towards your bonus, or that every stake counts in full.
What's in the game lobby?
The site's menu mentions casino, live casino, jackpots and sports. The rules also include provider-specific country lists and a lot of sports rules.
They don't give a full list of what a South African account can play today, and we haven't played any slots or live tables here. So we don't quote a game count, a fairness certificate or a return-to-player figure. Check the lobby after you've signed up.
How does bonus wagering work out in rand and euro?
Here's a made-up example, not a real Vegas Hero offer. Say you deposit €20 and get a €20 bonus with a 35-times requirement on the combined balance. That's €1400 you'd need to wager. If the same 35 times applied to the bonus only, it would be €700.
Same multiplier, very different target. Neither number predicts what you'll win or lose. Your balance can run out before you finish, and some games may count for nothing.
So before you accept any bonus, find out three things: what the requirement applies to, which games count, and what the maximum bet is while you're wagering.
What other limits are there?
A cap on how much you can cash out from a bonus is separate from the daily withdrawal schedule and from the €20 monthly activity rule. Finishing one doesn't finish the others. The casino can also review your play and your ID before it pays out.
Don't raise your stakes or make an extra deposit just to chase a progress bar. If the site doesn't clearly separate your own funds, your bonus funds and the amount you can withdraw, ask for a written explanation. If you don't get one, that's a good reason to stop for now.
What are coins, the shop and the wheel?
The rules describe coins you earn from activity and challenges. You can swap them in a shop for bonus funds, casino spins or sports free bets. Each reward has its own use and its own completion rules, so coins aren't the same as cash in your bank account.
The shop also separates activating spins from wagering what the spins win. We haven't looked inside the live shop, so we can't say what's on offer for your account or whether anything is available in South Africa. The rules show how the system is meant to work, not that you can claim a reward today.
Is the wheel really as good as it sounds?
Be careful. The wheel section contradicts itself. It describes cash prizes as withdrawable straight away, then says those prizes carry a turnover condition. Its cap on what you can cash out from wheel spins also differs from the general cap on no-deposit spins elsewhere in the rules.
Weekly challenges and wheel spins are separate systems, and some activity doesn't earn wheel spins. We don't roll all of this into one headline package, and we wouldn't call the wheel risk-free. Betting more to earn a reward can cost you more than the reward is worth, and the reward itself can come with more wagering and cashout limits.
How do complaints, phone play and support work?
The rules describe a two-step complaint: first a support query, then a written complaint with your account name, the dates and a clear explanation. The casino aims to answer within 10 days, longer for complex cases. We haven't contacted support, so we can't tell you if it keeps to that.
The outside complaints link in that clause goes to AskGamblers' casino-complaints page. That's a complaints site, not a regulator and not an appointed adjudicator with power over this account. So don't count on it as official recourse.
Can you play on your phone?
The public site is built to work on mobile screens. We haven't checked for a native app, gone through a full mobile sign-up, or tested deposit, loss and session limits, so we can't say those tools work. If you're on a data plan, check the cashier and the rules page before you load a lot of pages.
If gambling gets hard to control, use the official exclusion contact and get independent help instead of waiting for a bonus or payment complaint to finish. The SARGF help page is linked below.
CasinoMenu can fix wrong information on this page. We can't manage your casino account, set a limit for you or get a balance released.
Our verdict and questions to ask first
Here's what Vegas Hero does well: its rules page is unusually detailed about balances, payment checks, withdrawal levels and rewards. That helps you know what you'd be agreeing to.
Here's why we'd still hold off: we can't tell who the operator is or find a current licence, the closure rule can void a remaining balance, and the wheel's cash-prize rule contradicts itself. We don't give it a star rating or a bonus pick.
For a casino with clearer welcome terms, look at Springbok. For another review with unclear cashout rules, see Tusk. Those are comparisons, not promises about local approval or payouts.
Quick answers
Is this the old Genesis Global casino? We found nothing that shows it is.
Does a long rules page mean it's licensed? No. We couldn't match the current company or a licence.
Will closing your account return your balance? Not necessarily. The rules say funds can be voided if you close with a positive balance, so ask first.
Is there a clear welcome offer? We couldn't find a complete one, so we show no figures.
Do we know how fast it pays out? No, we haven't seen it in action.
